Frequently Asked Questions

How is InkFlow different from Wix or Squarespace?

Wix and Squarespace are generic builders — you assemble blocks, install plugins, and configure SEO yourself. InkFlow is tattoo-specific: booking, portfolio, and Google indexing are built in and work out of the box. You claim a page, not a blank canvas.

Do I have to drag and drop anything?

No. InkFlow auto-generates your page from Google Maps data and your Instagram. You pick a theme and edit text — no layout work.

Is it free?

Yes. The free plan includes your website, portfolio, booking, and Google indexing. Pro adds a custom independent domain and removes InkFlow branding.

Will my site rank on Google?

Yes. Every page is server-side rendered with SEO meta and submitted to Google automatically — unlike link-in-bio pages that search engines ignore.

Moving From Wix or Squarespace to InkFlow

Short answer: you keep your images and your Google history — you just stop maintaining a builder. Do it in five steps, and the one that protects your search rankings is the redirect step. Most studios are live the same day.

  1. Export your images first. Download your full gallery from Wix or Squarespace before you touch anything else — your healed-work photos are the asset you can't recreate.
  2. Claim your InkFlow page. Search your shop; if it's pre-built from Google Maps data, just verify your email. Otherwise create it in the Website Wizard — no blank canvas.
  3. Re-import and re-theme. Upload the images (or connect Instagram) and pick one of 100+ themes. Booking, portfolio, and SEO presets are already wired in — nothing to configure.
  4. Turn on booking. Your booking form is live immediately; there's no plugin to install or paid add-on to enable the way there is on generic builders.
  5. Redirect your old URLs (Pro). Point your custom domain at InkFlow and set 301 redirects from old page URLs to the matching new ones. This is the step people skip — and it's why some migrations lose rankings.

The one migration mistake that costs rankings

When you change platforms and don't redirect your old URLs, Google treats every old page as a dead end (404) and the ranking equity you built evaporates. A 301 redirect tells Google "this page moved here permanently," so your existing rankings and backlinks carry over to the new URL. Map each old URL to its closest new page before you switch DNS — never redirect everything to the homepage, which Google can treat as a soft 404.

Unlike starting over, this keeps your images, your bookings, and your search history intact.
